Family and friends,
We would like to update you on our ministry and our family.
MINISTRY:
Besides the regular preaching of the Word, leading a homegroup and meeting with individual members, we have started and completed some projects.
The members directory is almost done and we look forward to printing them at the end of this month. The directory includes church members’ pictures and their contact information. This will enable members to contact one another without difficulty and simply learn peoples’ names. Furthermore we will encourage members to use this directory as a prayer guide as they pray for each other.
One of the main challenges for the leadership team right now is to minister to many people at once. We don´t have a solid homegroup structure, where homegroup leaders can do basic discipleship and counseling. Therefore we are convinced, that we have to give our members easy access to good, solid Bible teaching through books. We used an online catalogue system (www.librarythings.org) and their add-on library interface to provide access to good books (https://www.librarycat.org/lib/EFBMuenster) Members of the church can now request books from our church library website and the next Sunday they will receive the hard copy. After only two days, we already had five books checked out.
Münster has a large student population, and therefore a high turnover rate in their population. We think it necessary to develop a website which provides basic information on the church, sermon access and information on upcoming events. The goal of the website is to invite people to see with their own eyes what a Bible-believing church in Germany looks like. We hope to launch our new website in May.
We are very thankful, that even with Corona restrictions tightening again for Easter, we can still meet as churches in Germany. We are looking forward to the second half of this year and hope to introduce more and more social events. Coffee after the church service, lady’s breakfast, church retreats etc. I´m very thankful that the members of the church are longing for these things to come back and not retreat into a harmful “online-Christian-mode”.
Please pray, that the church would grow in their love for Jesus and develop a heart for the lost in Münster.

FAMILY:
As we finish up the last touches of our apartment we realize more and more, that this apartment and Münster is our new home. This became clear to us, as we turned the key after a cruel 24 hour journey home from the U.S. in January. This is our home, where we raise our kids, where we laugh and cry, where we potty-train Nora, prepare meals, work, work-out, relax and sleep. We finished our balcony and are looking forward to the German spring in a few weeks.
Paige is still having a hard time in a couple of ways. Her ears are very sensitive and when stress levels rise her ears immediately get worse. Also she very regularly has head aches, and this combined with the regular craziness of a two-year-old and 8-months old is very exhausting. Praise God she has seen some progress in her language learning! Please pray for healing and that she would know what faithfulness looks like for her in this situation.
We would love to connect to you via Skype or Zoom. Feel free to reach out to us and we can set up a call (jonas.bueltemann@gmail.com).
