October 2020

Our new apartment sits in a newly developed area with 30 plus construction projects around it. When we go on dusty walks around our new home, there is a reoccurring thought – building a building seems so overwhelming.

These projects go from a deep, muddy hole in the ground, to one day a home with walls, lights and water, plus showers, sinks and doorbells. But with a plan and lots of work one day at a time, eventually there is a home where what was once a just muddy hole.

This has been a reminder to us that starting in new place and beginning life in ministry also takes a plan, lots of work and we must walk by faith one day at a time.

In the midst of this new season we know Psalm 127:1-2 to be true:

“Unless the Lord builds the house,
    those who build it labor in vain.
Unless the Lord watches over the city,
    the watchman stays awake in vain.
It is in vain that you rise up early
    and go late to rest,
eating the bread of anxious toil;
    for he gives to his beloved sleep.”

As we begin to serve the church here in Münster, we know it is God who builds and loves this local church. It is an exciting privilege to be a part of it.

Since our last update, we welcomed our second daughter, Fenley Kay, to our family. A few weeks and a packed trailer later we moved Münster. November 1st Jonas will begin as the pastor of Evangelische Freikirche am Bohlweg. We are grateful to have this time as a family before Jonas begins. It will be a new season for us, in that Jonas has never been a full-time pastor, but also new for this church, as they have never had a full-time pastor.

Please pray for our church: That the seed of the gospel would take deep root in the hearts of believers and would bring forth fruit in their lives. Pray we would reach many of the lost in this city with the good news of Jesus.

God has continually grown our faith as we see Him provide for us. To our donors, thank you again and again. We thank God for you and your involvement in our ministry. Your support enables us to serve our church here in Münster. Thank you for your faithful prayers. We pray God blesses you for your care for us.

Please pray for us as we adjust to life as a family of four. Pray for Paige as she continues to adjust to living in Germany.

We are grateful,

Jonas, Paige, Nora and Fenley
