Spring 2023

CHURCH

We write you from a little beach house in the Netherlands. Jonas was invited to preach at Tyndale Seminary near Amsterdam, so we happily extended the appointment to a week by the sea.

Praise God that He continues to sustain and grow His church in Münster.

In February and March, Jonas lead through two different Sunday school classes. February was a “Gemeinde Entdecken Kurs” (Church Explored) which covered the history of the church, statement of faith, membership, and church vision. March was a four-week baptism seminar which covered the questions, “What is the gospel?”, “What is conversion?”, “What is baptism?”, “What is church membership?”. Our church will baptize three new believers soon!

In our last update we shared how we welcomed a Ukrainian couple into membership. Now there are a handful more Ukrainian refugees wanting to join the church. It is encouraging to see them continue to integrate and begin to serve in the church. It is beautiful picture of the saving grace of Jesus Christ, who calls people from all nations to follow him. At the end of April we will meet with those interested.

Please pray for godly leadership and biblical church structures as the church continues to mature.

FAMILY:

The beautiful cherry tree in our garden is heralding spring’s arrival. It’s been a long, grey winter so any sunshine is most welcome :)

In March we celebrated seven years of marriage and Paige’s 30th birthday. March 10th was also the due date of the baby we lost in September. We are thankful for how many of you cared and prayed for us in these months.

“The Lord is my chosen portion and my cup;
    you hold my lot.
The lines have fallen for me in pleasant places;
    indeed, I have a beautiful inheritance.
I bless the Lord who gives me counsel;
    in the night also my heart instructs me.
I have set the Lord always before me;
    because he is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken.”

Psalm 16:5-8

PRAYER

  • Continued faithfulness in family and ministry

  • Visitors would hear the gospel clearly preached on Easter

  • Continued unity in the church as we grow

Much love,

Jonas, Paige, Nora and Fenley
