Spring 2025

“When winter fades, I know spring will come. The Lord is my salvation.”

Church

God continues to grow and bless the church here in Münster. We recently celebrated two more baptisms and packed 140 people into the building that Sunday.

The biweekly prayer meeting has transitioned into a “Gemeinde Training” where the group prays together and then Jonas teaches on foundations of the faith. People have been encouraged by this and are eagerly learning.

We had three handfuls of teenagers (aka a lot of pizza) at our house to watch “American Gospel: Christ Alone.” This documentary warns against the dangers of the prosperity gospel and Word of Faith Movement, while explaining the beauty of the true gospel. It is exciting to see our young peoples’ desire to grow in their faith.

I (Jonas) am very proud of Paige for sharing her testimony in German with the teen girls at a weekend event. Many of you have prayed for Paige’s language learning over the years and we can truly see the fruit of that. I am so proud to see her more self-sufficient and able to communicate at a deeper level. I (Paige) know I still have a long way to go :) But thank you.

We are prayerfully considering taking on an intern at the end of the summer. He would help disciple the youth group and preach occasionally. Jonas benefited so much from the internship he did for one year in Munich, and we hope to also train future pastors through an internship program.

Family

We have a poster in our living room that says, “These are the good old days.” And they are. And they will be as the kids grow. The kids each have their flavor of crazy, but it is truly an honor and joy to be their parents.

Henning is healthy, growing and babbling, “Mama.”

Fenley is proud to have been voted class representative for her Kindergarten group and is here for the people.

Nora is going to be our little “Schulkind” in the fall. It’s become a tradition for the Oma and Opa to take the grandkid to get their “Tornister.” This is the German/Mercedes version of a backpack. Thank you, Oma and Opa. We are so proud of Nora and excited for this next chapter.

We celebrated nine years of marriage in March and Paige turned 32. We thank God for holding us fast and giving us each other.

Lord willing, we head to the States in May. We are looking forward to resting and seeing family and friends. Jonas will be preaching at Hurricane Community Church and Redeemer Bible Church. We would love to get to get coffee with you Indiana/Louisville folks in these weeks.

Prayer:

  • Leaders for our church and a bigger meeting space

  • Rhythms for our family now that we are out of “survival mode”

  • Our marriage and that our children would come to know Jesus

  • Many to hear the gospel at the Easter service
